J BLESSING OPENS UP ABOUT COPING WITH THE LOSS OF HIS SON
Music video producer, Jibril Blessing popularly known as J Blessing has opened up about the loss of his son with musician Chantelle Naisola.
In an interview with CTA, J Blessing shut down claims that he sacrificed his late son, Kyle. “That time I was going through so much, I was in and outside the country. I wasn’t present during the pregnancy but when I was around I was able to spend some quality time. I came back and opened my company’s branch in Uganda, I did a couple of videos with Ugandan artistes and when I was about to come back home, the guy that invited me ranway with all the money. I didn’t have money, my son needed my attention and for months being away that was too much, so Cindy Sanyu bailed me out. She paid for my hotel where I was living, and it was quite some amount.”
Returning back to Kenya, J Blessing was broke and did not have money to support his lifestyle, “Getting home I was broke, my son, Kyle needed attention, when he went to the hospital he was normal, he was supposed to get the 6-month immunisation injection. During that time R Kay (Robert Kamanzi) had a project and he called me. That’s when the problems started. He got the injection but things became worse, that was a difficult time, the business was not working. At Aga Khan I told the doctors I know my God and this kid is going to be okay, but they advised me to take him to India.”
Having no money to take his son to India, J Blessing opted to pray for him, “I called so many people around me, I called my friend and brother Saint P and we prayed. While my son was sick I reconciled with everyone that I had issues with. That night I prayed and asked God for a miracle, immediately I made the prayer. I got a call from the hospital and the doctor said, “Your child had gone but we resuscitated him back.” I told God if this is how you want it I do not want to see you. By the time we were going to the hospital in the morning I think the mum had already known that he had passed. I couldn’t.”
Music producer R Kay took care of his hospital bill and son’s burial, “I had a bill of over Sh1 million and for the body to be released you have to clear this debt. I don’t know what R Kay did but he cleared everything, even my son’s burial.”
