ACTRESS VERONICA MWAURA SHARES HEALTH UPDATE SINCE SPENDING 2 MONTHS IN ICU

Selina actress Veronica Mwaura says she is on the road to recovery since she was hospitalised in the intensive care unit for congestive heart failure.

Speaking on Buzz Central podcast, Mwaura said her condition became severe when she contracted covid-19 and pneumonia, “What happens with heart condition is stress, on December 21, 2021 I got covid and chronic pneumonia, my lungs were at 44 percent and my oxygen level was at 40. After that I was discharged. I always thank God for everything because my best friend was there for me.

On that particular day there was a power outage and phones where not charged, later, the lights came back at my friend’s place and she was able to charge her phone, I called my sister and I was rushed to hospital at Nairobi Women’s in Kitengela. My heart beat was at 380 and they did what they were supposed to and transferred to a different hospital.”

Mwaura’s condition became worse and had to be admitted in the intensive care unit for two months, “The condition had started a long time but the covid-19 accelerated the condition. I went to Mediheal and they took care of me in a very good way. I stayed there for a while with congestive heart failure. My cardiologist is always a phone call away, I would take 8 tablets a day. If the other big hospital where I was taken to when I had palpitations had taken care of it I wouldn’t have gone through what I did.”

She adds, “Sometimes you have to go through some things for God to show himself, it was my time and I had to go through this to make myself firm as a christian.”
