BLOGGERS ASSOCIATION OF KENYA LAUNCHES 2025 BAKE AWARDS 

The Bloggers Association of Kenya (BAKE) has officially unveiled the BAKE Awards 2025, announcing the opening of the competition’s submission phase starting today.

Now in its ninth year, has evolved from a competition exclusively for bloggers to a celebration of all facets of online content creation.

What began as an event focused solely on bloggers now celebrates  all facets of online content creation. The awards are designed to honour outstanding creators across digital platforms, from blogs and podcasts to social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter.

The 2025 awards cycle will commence with a submission window running from September 9th to October 8th, 2025. After the close of entries, a judging panel will review all nominations to shortlist the top five contenders in each category. These finalists will then be advanced to a public vote, with the ultimate winners being revealed at a ceremony in December.

The complete timeline for the BAKE Awards 2025 is:

• Submissions Phase: September 10th to October 8th, 2025
• Judging Phase: October 9th to October 30th, 2025
• Online Voting: November 3rd to December 2nd, 2025
• Winners’ Announcement: December 6th, 2025

This year, submissions are open across 23 categories. Each creator may only be entered into one primary category. An exception is made for new creators (those who began publishing between January 2024 and December 2024), who are eligible for both the New Creator award and one additional category that aligns with their content.
