Vanessa will join the likes of Tekno from Nigeria, StoneBwoy, Kiff No Beat and Mr Eazi. She will be part of the company’s “global artist family” which means her work will be distributed internationally.

She has not revealed the details of the new deal or how long the contract will last but she seemed elated about the announcement.

We are thrilled to be growing our presence in Africa. Welcome to our global artist family Vanessa Mdee,” Universal Music Group said during the announcement.

Everyday these dreams come true. Thank you Jesus,” Vanessa Mdee shared her excitement about joining the global music brand on social media.

She has been performing around Tanzania promoting the songs in her new album ‘Money Mondays’ which she launched in Kenya a few months ago in a star-studded event.
