JACKIE CHANDIRU REVEALS SHE SURVIVED FOUR SUICIDE ATTEMPTS

By  |

Ugandan musician Jackie Chandiru aka Queen of the Nile opened up about the painful parts of her life.

In an interview Chandiru says she tried to end her life four times but she survived, “I was killed online four times but I was actually in rehab.

I also I tried to commit suicide four times. I was tired of the rumours and stories, and people believing them. I was tired of life and I didn’t care how I look anymore; I didn’t want to exist.

I believed I was much better off dead. Even before all this attempt I kept telling God I know suicide is not allowed but I can’t just be here anymore because I was sinking more and more into depression.

The first attempt I woke up with the worst headache on earth. I was like ‘in heaven or hell I don’t think there is supposed to be headache, why is my head aching like this, why do I feel like throwing up too much?’ I woke up and pinched myself and said ooh God I’m alive. I had taken a cocktail of everything from the pharmacy.

Second time I woke up and the first thing I wanted to do was to go to the bathroom to take out whatever was in my stomach. It was another cocktail of different lethal drugs it didn’t work.

Third time before I attempted, I quarreled with God, I told him let this at least go through can’t you see I’m suffering, that was another cocktail more in liquid form that too didn’t work.

Fourth time too, at this point I believed God didn’t love me, if he did, he would see the suffering and pain I was going through and he would want to take it away from me.”

After the fourth attempt she received news that someone had dug her grave, that when she decided to make the change, “The day I found out my grave had been dug before I had passed on. I said whoever it is that person or people will enter that grave before I do.

When I kept reading the messages from fans people were praying for me and I was thinking this people have much love for me. I’m not going to down without people knowing exactly what happened.”

Chandiru has gotten help and is on the path of recovery.
