VANESSA MDEE SHARES HOW SHE OVERCAME HER INFERIORITY COMPLEX

By  |

Tanzanian star Vanessa Mdee featured her boyfriend Olurotimi Akinosho aka Rotimi on the last episode of her podcast Deep Dive with Vanessa Mdee to talk about inferiority complex.

On the podcast, the talented, gorgeous and hugely successful singer confessed she had an inferiority complex that came from being physically small, “I had to over compensate, my inferiority complex growing up came from the fact that I was a small person, I was shorter than everybody, I was smaller, I didn’t see myself in great regard. My trauma comes from being teased as a child.

When I was younger, I did not speak I was like I’m just not gonna say anything but as I grew older, I had to over compensate. Trying to be loud, the life of the party and have the final say.

I was very competitive, I am a perfectionist to date, attention seeking was a big thing that I did hence the overly loud energy and very sensitive to criticism.

It’s so hard to admit these things because you look back at yourself and your like wow, look at silly old me. Like having not faced my own demons and combating everyone along the way.”
