Radio presenter Phelix Odiwuor, alias Jalang’o has talked about his interactions with supporters after declaring interest in Langata parliamentary seat.

Through his social media page, the radio presenter said he has been referred to as ‘mheshimiwa’ since he declared interest in the seat, something that amazes him. “Life is very beautiful and really strange. I have openly declared my candidature for Langata as the next Member of Parliament! It has been a roller coaster and a beautiful journey! Everyone now calls me mheshimiwa and I get surprised and confused! Yes! How do you call yourself mheshimiwa when the people you represent are still hungry, angry, hopeless and almost giving up in life! How do you sleep in peace knowing you are mheshimiwa and there is nothing to show for it,” Jalang’o posed.

The comedian promised to serve his people once he gets to the office, further urging his fans to stop calling him ‘mheshimiwa’ until he gets to the office and does the work to deserve the name. “They say Jalas is just talking because he is not in yet! Akiingia atasahau! I hope I don’t! That’s why my slogan is Utu na Watu! Humanity and People! So please don’t call me mheshimiwa until I have done the work to deserve that name,” he added.
