CORAZON KWAMBOKA EXPLAINS WHY SHE STOPPED TAKING ANTIDEPRESSANTS

By  |

Socialite and businesswoman Corazon Kwamboka has explained the reason why she stopped taking her antidepressant.

Speaking on her YouTube channel, the mother of two said the medicine was making her angry. “Yes I had depression and I was given medicine and I took them for some time. I stopped it because it was making me angry. I took pills for some time but I eventually stopped because I felt like I was getting these highs and lows. I went to the doctor and told him what I was feeling. He did a review of how I was feeling and he told me that I was getting stable and I actually got off the medication.”

Kwamboka also said getting a second nanny really helped her, “The most important thing if you are dealing with depression and you’re seeing a doctor, it is important to listen to the doctors. If they give you medicine it is important to take it. Getting a second nanny was one of the things that really helped me. It just took so much pressure off of me and I was able to focus on myself and children.”

Adding, “It’s not something that you can get rid of. It’s something that you have to always be aware of your  mental health. Healing has to be a continuous process and making sure that I’m not under too much pressure and being conscious about things that affect me and constant therapy for the rest of my life.”
