JOHN ALLAN NAMU AND WIFE SHEENA MAKENA CELEBRATE 12TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

By  |

Award winning investigative journalist, John Allan Namu wrote a heartfelt message for his wife, Sheena Makena as they marked 12 years in marriage.

Namu thanked her for persevering during their different transitions in life, “Twelve years married today! Thank you for standing by my side from our first dance ( to this song!) to our first grey hairs. From our first child to our fourth. For every day that you have loved me, even when you can’t stand me. You are the heart of our home, a brilliant human being. So smart, so fierce and a genuinely good person. I’m not lucky to have you. I am blessed ( even stole your quote to prove it). I love you.”

Makena wasn’t left behind as she wrote words of praise to him saying their journey has had its ups and downs, “Shapes, sizes, numbers and smizes these past 12 years have changed but have been a blast, a rollercoaster; filled with imperfections-but ours. I cannot imagine doing it with anyone else but @johnallanamu. Happy 12th year anniversary, darling. We all appreciate you for being the head of our home, the diluter of my madness and a good balance of everything I love about you. Let’s ensure we have a fab day, – and food as we lead each other to heaven,” Makena wrote.

Allan and his wife opened up about how they had known each other for a long time before they made the next step, starting all the way from campus. The two later met again at Standard Group when Namu came for his internship and Makena was a scary editor, “When we started to work together at KTN, I was an intern I was scared and she was a scary editor like anybody who remembers Makena was like if you don’t have your time codes get out. When we were in the edit suite we had a lot of stories and often a lot of my stories would run late because we were talking about all sorts of things.” The couple said their I do’s in 2010 and have been blessed with four children.
