‘I FORGIVE MY DAUGHTER’S KIDNAPPERS’ CIKU MUIRURI OPENS UP
Media personality Ciku Muiruri has forgiven her daughter’s kidnappers despite the tumultuous ordeal.
Speaking in an interview with NTV, she said, “I gave him options and I told him that I understand how the economy is and I understand that people get desperate and make a mistake and find themselves in situations where they don’t know what to do. Everyone had an opinion and that is when I decided to make a decision on what I am told by Christ.”
Ciku says when she received a call that her daughter had been saved, she went to a chapel first, “I remember just running and getting my mother and kid brother and telling them we go to the chapel. I just wanted to get on my knees and praise God. It was a lot to go through and I still have trauma from seeing her number because they were using it to communicate with me.”
She also disclosed she has forgiven the kidnappers, “Maybe a year ago I would have wished something crazy on him. But where I am right now, I have empathy for him because he is married and he has a child who doesn’t not know what this guy does. There are other people who depend on him whose lives are gonna be affected by him being in jail.”
The media personality also stated that Bolt need to do better, “They need to do better, they should not victim blame. The car the girls got into was the same as on the app because these guys had fake number plates. So it is disingenuous for Bolt to say it’s your fault because you didn’t look at the number plate.”
