NADIA NAKAI CELEBRATES AKA’S 36TH BIRTHDAY

On January 28, rapper Nadia Nakai commemorated the birthday of the late AKA in a heartfelt memorial. Joined by AKA’s family and his daughter, they paid a visit to his resting place adorned with 36 balloons, a symbolic representation of the age he would have turned.

“Happy Heavenly Birthday @akaworldwide we all miss you so much! Got 36 balloons to send to you, and in true Kairo fashion they had to be biodegradable to not harm the environment. Today is painful. 💔♾️” she shared.

The popular rapper was shot dead outside a restaurant in the coastal city of Durban on February 10, 2023. AKA was killed along with his close friend, the chef and entrepreneur Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane. The pair are thought to have been on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of Forbes’ birthday celebrations when they were shot.
