Tutam: Trevor Ombija Endorses Ruto for 2027

Citizen TV journalist Trevor Ombija has officially thrown his weight behind President William Ruto’s reelection bid ahead of the 2027 General Election, arguing that the head of state has delivered tangible development where previous administrations fell short.

In a video seen by Buzz Central, Ombija, who is currently seeking the Nyakach parliamentary seat in Kisumu County, pointed to a series of ongoing infrastructure projects in Luo Nyanza as the basis for his endorsement.

Among the projects he highlighted was the upgrading of Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, which he described as a landmark initiative with the potential to transform healthcare access in the region.

Ombija also drew attention to the Rironi-Mau Summit dual carriageway, framing it as a transformative project that would ease movement across the entire Western and Nyanza region. He urged residents of Nyakach to vote for Ruto’s second term to secure continued investment and empowerment programmes for the area.

Ombija is part of a wave of prominent media figures who have declared their interest in political seats ahead of the 2027 General Election. Others include Stephen Letoo, Lulu Hassan and Mwanaisha Hamadi.
