‘I Miss Mum Every Single Second’ Amina Abdi Mourns the Loss of Her Mother

Media personality Amina Abdi has announced the passing of her mother. The devastating news was shared by the star on her social media platforms, where she penned an emotional tribute to her “Hoyoo.”

“I think anyone who has lost their mum understands this deep ache. It feels wrong because they aren’t supposed to go. Like sasa ameenda aje? My mum? Ebu arudi, there is still so much I needed to ask her, so many moments we were supposed to share, and a lifetime of things I still wanted to do to make her proud,” she wrote.

Amina went on to reflect on the immortality we often assign to our mothers, “They really should be immortal. I miss my mum every single second🤍 My Hoyoo, My Ayo, My heartbeat. Sigh, life has to move on I guess.”

Amina’s mother was hospitalised before she passed on. The cause of death has not been officially announced.
