Natalie Tewa Forced to Fly in Wedding Dress From Nigeria After Kenyan Designer Let Her Down
Digital creator Natalie Tewa has revealed that she was forced to source an alternative traditional wedding dress from Nigeria after a Kenyan designer let her down at the last minute, forcing her to have a replacement gown made and flown in within 24 hours.
In an Instagram post reflecting on “Day 2 of our Kumenya Mucii,” the content creator shared a photo dump of highlights from the traditional ceremony, describing it as a day filled with “so much laughter, so much joy and dancing and SO much love.”
However, Tewa disclosed that the planning process was far from smooth, particularly concerning her outfit. “Especially my dress! Imagine I had to get an entire dress made in 24 HOURS and flown in from Nigeria just in time for the celebration coz Kenyan tailors did the thing Aki,” she wrote.
The creator hinted that the ordeal deserves its own YouTube video, suggesting there is more to the story of the last-minute scramble. Despite the setbacks, she maintained that the celebration was worth every challenge. “My goodness, what a beautiful day this was… I would do it all over again in a heartbeat and I’m glad we still have a few more steps to celebrate,” she added.
She noted that she is currently editing a recap reel of the celebrations, which she promised to share soon.
