The family of the late businessman Erick Naibei has publicly refuted viral online reports alleging a dispute over his estate involving his widow, Esther Musila, her son Gideon, and gospel artist Guardian Angel.

In a statement issued today, the family described the circulating allegations as “false and misleading,” clarifying that the succession process was conducted lawfully and transparently following the patriarch’s passing in 2016.

Addressing the rumours on behalf of the family, Glenn Naibei said that the letters of administration were duly issued years ago, with Esther serving as the rightful administrator and the children as beneficiaries.

Following the passing of our Father in 2016, our family lawfully undertook the process of succession. Letters of administration were duly issued with our mother serving as the head administrator, alongside us as the beneficiaries. This process was conducted in accordance with the law and with full transparency,Glenn  stated.

He vehemently dismissed claims circulating on social media that suggested Esther had been disinherited or had her authority revoked. “It has come to our attention that there are misleading claims suggesting that our mother has been disinherited or has lost her rights. These claims are false. There has been no disinheritance of our mother at any point,” he added.

While acknowledging that the family has navigated internal legal mechanisms over the years, Naibei clarified that these routine administrative matters should not be misconstrued as familial division or conflict. “Like many families, we have had internal legal processes over time, including court proceedings initiated to address administrative matters. These are normal legal mechanisms and do not reflect division or conflict within our family as it is being portrayed publicly,” the statement read.

The family also came to the defence of Guardian Angel, the current husband of Esther, who was reportedly linked to the management of the property in the viral reports. The Naibei family dismissed any suggestions of impropriety regarding his involvement. “We also wish to firmly dismiss any allegations directed to our mother’s husband, Mr. Guardian Angel. Any suggestions that he has ulterior motives or is pursuing family property are baseless, malicious, and untrue,Glenn said.
