Guardian Angel Reveals Church Rejected Him After Marrying Esther Musila

Renowned gospel artist Guardian Angel has revealed that he faced rejection and verbal abuse from the Christian community following his marriage to Esther Musila, who is 20 years his senior.

The award-winning singer disclosed that consistent church bookings dried up almost immediately after their marriage became public knowledge. The backlash, he said, came not from the secular world, but from the very community that had once embraced him. “The woman I married is a little older than me,” Guardian Angel shared. “The Christian community verbally abused me. I got love outside the church.”

Before his marriage, Guardian Angel was among the most booked performers in Kenya’s gospel music scene, performing at churches across the country on an almost daily basis. “Monday to Monday I had events in churches,” he recalled. “Then I married, and they abused me.”

Despite the backlash, Guardian and Musila have remained together, building a family and continuing their respective careers.
