Gospel Artist Grace Mwai Confirms Marriage to Hiram Kamuhunjia Has Ended

Gospel singer Grace Mwai has announced the end of her marriage to husband Hiram Kamuhunjia. 

In a personal statement released May 31, the celebrated artist shared that the couple have been navigating their lives independently following a mutual decision to part ways. “After much reflection and mutual understanding, I would like to share that my marriage has ended and we have since been navigating our lives independently,” Mwai stated. 

“During this time, we have approached this transition with respect, maturity, and consideration. We remain grateful for the journey we shared, grateful for the love and support you have shown us, and wish each other peace and happiness moving forward.“

While acknowledging the personal nature of this announcement, the singer disclosed she still believes in marriage. “My belief in the sanctity of marriage and my faith in Jesus Christ remain unchanged,” she said. “I continue to believe in the biblical value of marriage and God’s purpose for it. Some journeys unfold differently than we expect, yet God’s grace continues to sustain us.”

Mwai saidthat her ministry and calling have not been diminished by this personal transition. “My commitment to Christ, His calling upon my life, and serving His people remains steadfast. Though this season brings loss and sorrow, I trust that God is present in the broken places and faithful to guide me forward. I trust that God is able to bring healing, restoration, and purpose even through life’s most difficult chapters.”

The gospel singer also addressed her supporters, fans, and the Christian community, appealing for grace. “While I respect those who may be unable to walk this road with me, I ask that we continue to extend one another the same grace, compassion, and dignity that Christ calls us to show. To those who choose understanding over judgment, thank you.” She continues to be actively involved in her music ministry and worship leading.
