BBNAIJA DORATHY BACHOR SET TO LAUNCH A PLUS-SIZE LINGERIE LINE AND STILL FRIENDS WITH WATHONI

By  |

Dorathy Bachor came to limelight after she became one of the finalists for Big Brother Naija season 5 and she ended up being the season’s runner up. Speaking to Buzz Central she opens up about her plus-size lingerie line and pursuing acting.

Who is Dorathy?

I’m a warm-hearted, free-spirited and carefree person. I’m also a go-getter and business-oriented young lady who is quite focused on her career. My main goal in life is to win and do better than my ancestors.

What was going through your mind when you made it to final two?

I was anxious, I didn’t know if I was going to win but I was so thankful to reach that far. When the winner was announced I ran to hugged Laycon, I was happy for him, he never believed he could win the grand prize. I wanted the money but I was grateful for the experience.

Your advice to Laycon.

He is smart and intelligent person and I believe he knows the right thing to do. I want him to always remember the reason why he went to Big Brother house which is his music and to focus on doing that.

You were focused in the house while there were so many dramatic moments, how did you remain calm?

Everybody went to the house with different priorities, I was gunning for the money. I had watched different seasons before and I knew it’s a life changing show, I have never made a million in my life, 85 million Naira was all that was in my mind going into the house. I had intentions of enjoying the experience but my goal was fixed on the prize, that contributed to how I behaved in the house.

Will see you in future launching a plus size clothing brand?

I’m doing something for my fans, I’m planning to launch a lingerie and swimwear line in December or January next year. We all know the struggle; I have been there; I am working with my team to make it work. My fans want it and I do too, it will make me happy to launch it.

Wathoni said you are cunning and fake, are you still friends?

I haven’t had any conversation with her, and I don’t plan to. I have said whatever happened in the house stays in the house. I’m looking forward, I didn’t have any bad blood with anybody in the house. I am focusing on my life, I don’t know how she concluded to that, I have seen her a couple of times, we are good, we talk and follow each other on Instagram.

Did you have feelings for Ozo in the house?

No, we had a friendship and that was it.

What’s your worst moment in the house?

When I was close to winning head of house on the eighth week and I didn’t get it, it really messed me that week plus Prince also left the same week.

Arena games did not favour you, what was so challenging?

Those games were so tricky, I did put in 100 percent but the games didn’t like me, it’s funny I won the final arena game and I felt it was special having struggled for many weeks.

What shocked you the most when you left the house?

My followers, when I went to the house, my account was private with 210 followers only to come out and see a million. I was like how?  I was scared, I didn’t want to look at it for two days. I have always been a private person, I’m not used to so much attention, right now I’m still getting used to it. The ‘Exploras’ are the best.

Will we ever see you in another reality show?

I don’t know but when it happens it will be fun.

You were recently hospitalized, how are you?

It was mostly stress and I stopped eating early and it got to my health, I was treated and not admitted as many speculated but I am fine now.

Your future plans after the show?

Rebrand my business, Shop for Me. I would like to take a course in interior décor and design, during my stay in the house I found out love interior design. Most likely I will be going into acting so wait and see.
