SONKO’S DAUGHTER SAUMU MBUVI TALKS ABOUT ABUSE AND PAINFUL EXPERIENCE SHE FACED GROWING UP

By  |

Governor Mike Sonko’s daughter Saumu Mbuvi, who is a mom of two has gone through it all being in the limelight. She has had her fair share of scandals and she’s now saying it was tough. Trusting the wrong people and the wrong women set her up for nothing but pain.

On her latest post, she talks about her painful experiences writing, “Just like the moon I had my lunar phases but, in the end, I shined through the darkness.

A broken little girl in the wrong world trust me it wasn’t easy so many times I had to go through abuse in the name of who I was being judged by people that knew nothing about me broke me more.

I had no one to confide in but I always had to play the hero to everyone around me it broke me more to pieces.

I remember my mama’s last words before going back to school was ‘you are a genius with a pure heart but you will always sacrifice yourself for the wrong people.’ Now I understand her words, a soul seeker in the wrong world. I pray my children don’t face the same fate.

I pray we raise a better generation of women. Women that would fight for each other and not use each other.”
