NANDY SPENT OVER SH3.3 MILLION FOR A COLLABO WITH KOFFI OLOMIDE

By  |

Tanzanian singer Nandy has revealed she had to cough some serious amounts of money just to land a collaboration with Congolese musician Koffi Olomide.

Speaking at an interview with Clouds, the African Princess said she had to cater for all Koffi Olomide’s expenses, “When Koffi came for an interview with Clouds, he was played my song Kivuruge and he said he likes my work. When I saw the video clip, I wanted to meet him and maybe create a relationship so that we can do a collabo later.

I told my management to get his constant and he agreed for a meeting. I met him and he told me he likes my song Kivurunge and suggested we do a remix but I told him we should do a collabo. He said, ‘we can even do it tomorrow’ I prepared myself to record but he got busy and the next day I was travelling to Kenya. He recorded his part and sent me the clips and when I came back to Tanzania, I added my part.

There is nothing for free, I have spent money to bring him here with his management, I have catered for his accommodation, food, costume and the video shoot. To do all that I have used over Sh3.3 million (TSh70 Million). He is a very humble person, invited him to my house and he agreed and came.”
