Media personality Alex Mwakideu has talked about his acting career and how he landed a role on Kenyan film, Nafsi. Speaking in an interview with Buzz central, the journalist said he went through two auditions before he was finally called for the role where he plays an abusive boyfriend. “I went for the auditions, I was given the script and I did a lot of rehearsals, I consulted my friends who have been on screen before and did rehearsals with them and by the time auditions came I was prepared and earned it. I was later called and they told me, ‘we have a part for you’,” he disclosed.

Mwakideu also spoke about his sister’s health after being diagnosed with covid 19, revealing how Taita Taveta governor Granton Samboja helped his family to settle his sister’s hospital bill. “The bill was crazy and we had used a lot of money and that’s why I asked for help.

There was a time I kept telling Rozina I would pick her up from hospital but the money was not there so she had to stay for several days but something really nice happened, the governor of Taita Taveta County called me and asked how much we needed and promised to send the money the following day. Just like that he sent Sh300,000 and I was able to take my sister home,” he added. Alex noted that his sister recovered and she is currently working. ”
