MC JESSY OPENS UP ABOUT LOSING HIS MOTHER

By  |

Churchill Raw host Jasper Muthiomi, alias MC Jessy has opened up on events that followed after his mother’s death. Speaking in an interview, the comedian disclosed how he learnt about his mother’s death just a day before his KCPE examinations.

I left my mum when she was sick, I’m not sure about the ailment but I was just told she was sick. I left home and went for rehearsals on a Monday and KCPE was on Tuesday. When I came back from school, I heard people singing from a distance. She passed away that day when I was doing my KCPE rehearsals. It was the most devastating time of my life, I was only 12 years at that time,” MC Jessy said.

The comedian added that after his mother’s death, they could not afford the coffin, adding that all guests left after the burial leaving him with his grandparents. “We could not afford her coffin. After the burial people left and I was left with my grandmother and grandpa,” MC Jessy added. Adding, “I came to discover that no one cares about orphans. For instance, when other people were planning Christmas for their kids, nobody thought about me.”

This comes a month after the comedian revealed his plan to run for a political office. Through his social media page, MC Jessy said he will be vying for South Imenti parliamentary seat. His announcement came days after he received an endorsement from the constituency’s elders, “This weekend I was grateful and humbled by the elders that raised me and who are from my home constituency of South Imenti when they honoured and bestowed on me the blessings and responsibilities to lead South Imenti Constituency as the Member Of Parliament,” he stated.
