Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has extended a helping hand to struggling comedian Stellah Jemutai Koitie, popularly known as Jemutai Chibambe, following her recent emotional plea for help

Sudi met with the comedian to offer support after a poorly attended event in Eldoret left her in financial distress and prompted her to deactivate her social media accounts.

Today, I made a point of meeting her to offer my support in my own small way, to help her get back on her feet and to explore how we can take creative arts and stand-up comedy to the next level“.

The meeting, which took place on August 31, Sudi shared his commitment to creating sustainable opportunities for Kenyan creatives, noting that the challenges facing entertainers require long-term solutions. “As a patron, we are determined to create a platform for our creatives so they can earn a decent living and build a foundation for the next generation,” the MP added .

Following her 11th anniversary celebration that failed to attract the expected crowd, she publicly appealed for assistance to settle commitments with service providers and fellow creatives.
