DJ LITHIUM DIES AT NAIROBI HOSPITAL AFTER TAKING POISON

Capital FM’s Alex Nderi popularly known as DJ Lithium is dead. According to reports, the deejay took his final bow on Wednesday evening, January 19 at Nairobi Hospital after taking rat poison at Capital FM offices located in Lonrho House. 

In a social media post, a source privy to the matter said DJ Lithium deleted all his social media platforms, wrote a suicide note before ingesting the poisonous substance. 

The Capital FM fraternity is in shock after their spinmaster, Alex Nderi aka, DJ Lithium took rat poison in the media house offices, yesterday night. He passed away while receiving treatment at Nairobi hospital. According to sources, the deejay reportedly deleted all his social media accounts before writing a suicide note,” Wairimu Kimani wrote on Facebook. 

After writing the suicide note, DJ Lithium is said to have walked to the washrooms and ingested the rat poison before walking back to the offices where he collapsed. 

His unresponsive body was discovered at the radio station’s IT departing with a tumbler suspected to have been used by the deejay. “He then went to end his life when he went to the bathroom leaving behind his suicide note at his desk, one that colleagues said would be left for the family to open. After he took the poison, the deejay walked back to the offices and collapsed, with his workmates trying desperately to resuscitate him.Kimani added. 

The late DJ used to spin on Club capital every Friday from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM and on the Jam Fridays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
