FANS REACT TO DAYO’S DEATH ON PEPETA

Pepeta fans can’t get enough of the series, set in Africa’s largest slum, Kibera known for hard crime, gang rivalry, and extrajudicial killings on the one hand, and producing the best football players in the country.

This week’s episode saw Dayo and his gang of footballers, Junior, Dimore, and Ade,  who are upcoming football players, found themselves caught between the push and pull of football and crime. The stars were aligned in Dayo’s favour. However, on the night he was supposed to fly to Europe to play for an international team, his dreams were cut short when he was caught in a crossfire between rival gangs and tragically shot fans responded to his death on the show:
