Inside George Ruto’s Budapest Trip to Support Arsenal

George Ruto, son of President William Ruto, was spotted at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary, attending the UEFA Champions League final, where Arsenal suffered a defeat against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

The football enthusiast wore an Arsenal T-shirt  among a sea of PSG supporters. His jangle green ensemble layered over his Arsenal jersey. Despite being surrounded by opposition supporters, George showed loyalty to the North London club.

Following the match, which saw Arsenal fall short of European glory, Ruto took to TikTok to share his experience. In the video, he captioned his post, “Behind enemy lines. Tough luck. We shall be back.

Ruto’s presence in Budapest has since drawn attention on social media, with football fans across Kenya reacting to his post, “Politics aside, George is a cool guy.” A user said.

While the result did not go Arsenal’s way, Ruto’s closing words “We shall be back” suggest optimism for the club’s future European campaigns under manager Mikel Arteta.
