Musician Mr Lenny Cancels Album Launch After Mother’s Passing
Veteran Kenyan musician Lenson Njuki Wang’ang’a, popularly known as Mr. Lenny, has announced the cancellation of his much-anticipated album launch, originally scheduled for August 1st.
The decision comes after the tragic passing of his mother, who passed away on July 23rd. In a statement released, the musician requested prayers from his supporters during this difficult time. “It is with great humility and sadness that I announce the cancellation of my Album Launch on the 1st of August due to the Loss of my Dearest Mother,” reads the statement. “I humbly ask for your understanding, prayers and support during this difficult time.”
The musician, known for his collaborations with industry icons, asked the public to stay tuned for a new date for the album launch, which will be communicated in due course. Mr. Lenny shared details regarding funeral planning meetings for his mother. Friends, family, and well-wishers are invited to gather for prayers and planning at the Nairobi Baptist Church on Ngong Road.
