Zari Hassan Congratulates Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu on Birth of Baby Girl

Ugandan-South African socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has congratulated her ex-partner Diamond Platnumz and his wife, Tanzanian singer Zuchu, on the birth of their newborn daughter.

The touching moment unfolded via a video call from Zuchu’s hospital room at Saifee Hospital in Dar es Salaam, where the new mother was recovering surrounded by pink and white balloons, floral bouquets, teddy bears, and a multi-tier cake inscribed with the words “welcome our princess“. The footage, shared on Wasafi TV’s Instagram, showed Zari beaming with joy as she spoke to the new parents.

“I’m so happy,” Zari said during the call, before handing the phone to her daughter, Princess Tiffah who is also Diamond’s child. Tiffah, visibly excited about her new baby sister, admitted she had been hoping for a girl all along, saying she was “so done with boys“. The young girl confessed she was a little nervous about becoming a big sister, but those on the call quickly reassured her.

“She is a big sister, she is nervous but she is very caring,” Zari said of her daughter. Zari said she looks like Latifa. The mother of two of Diamond’s children, Princess Tiffah and Prince Nillan has consistently maintained a respectful relationship with her ex-partner’s other partners, including Zuchu.

“I constantly talk to Zuchu because whenever my kids are in Tanzania, she takes care of them,“ Zari previously revealed in an interview, praising Zuchu as “a very nice girl” and noting that her children are “very comfortable being with her“.
