‘I Did a Temporal Lift’ Zari Hassan Opens Up About Cosmetic Enhancement 

Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has finally addressed the intense online speculation surrounding her appearance, confirming she underwent a cosmetic procedure.

In a TikTok video, Hassan responded to the social media frenzy that erupted after she appeared with a dramatically lifted “fox eye” look. She clarified that the exaggerated effect was not the result of a full surgical facelift but rather a combination of a less invasive procedure and experimental makeup.

“I’m not gonna lie. I did have a facelift. It was not a full facelift; it was a temporal lift, which is just around the eyes,” Hassan explained. “A full facelift involves you getting cut and all that.” 

The socialite, who has been a prominent figure on the Netflix reality series Young, Famous & African, took the opportunity to address critics, confirming that the procedure is her first and only cosmetic enhancement on her face. “I know some people were like, ‘Oh she did surgery again.’ No. I have never touched my face,” she stated. 

Hassan attributed much of the viral buzz to her makeup artist, Sammy, who experimented with a new style. “Sammy has done most of my face bits, and he is so good. But he wanted to try something new on my face, which was the fox eye, and it obviously just ended up taking my eyes like all the way that way,” she said. 

Defending her choice to enhance her looks as she ages. “I have always been a very beautiful woman. I’m just enhancing… because as we get older, things change,” she said, telling her followers to embrace confidence. “If doing something makes you feel better about yourself, then there is nothing wrong with it.” 

She also addressed the public’s fixation on her face, “I’m not gatekeeping, guys. I’m the beautiful friend that you want to have,” Hassan added.
