The Kenya Film Commission (KFC) has officially unveiled the nominees for the 14th edition of the Kalasha International Film and TV Awards at a ceremony held at Anga Cinema Panari.

In a move aimed at elevating the stature of the awards, KFC announced that every winner across all categories will receive a cash prize of Ksh200,000 ensuring that artists are financially supported for their excellence in storytelling.

The Awards in their 14th edition build on the legacy of previous ceremonies that have helped raise the bar for quality productions, creativity and professionalism,” said Timothy Owase, CEO of the Kenya Film Commission. “Our theme, ‘Innovating Tradition, Re-inventing Storytelling One Frame at a Time,’ is beautifully reflected in these entries.”

In addition to the cash prize, the CEO noted that this year’s edition will officially recognise the growing influence of digital content creators. KFC has introduced two new categories specifically tailored for the digital space, acknowledging the evolution of the industry and the imperative to embrace its newest constituents.

The winners of the 14th Kalasha International Film and TV Awards will be announced at a gala ceremony scheduled for May 2, 2026
