Geoffrey Mosiria Rescues Gengetone Artist Madoxx from Streets, Takes Him to Rehab
Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria has come to the rescue of renowned Gengetone artist, Madoxx, whose life took a tragic turn after falling into depression and drug addiction.
Mosiria, in a late-night operation, located the musician living on the streets and has since admitted him to a rehabilitation centre for treatment and recovery. Sharing the rescue mission, Mosiria stated, “Tonight, I rescued renowned Genge artist Maddox, whose life sadly took a different path after he fell into depression and became addicted to drugs. As a result, he has been living on the streets. Someone reached out to me and shared his story. After learning about his situation, I was deeply touched and decided to meet him tonight.”
He also added, “I found him on the streets drinking, and after speaking with him, he agreed to accept help. I am grateful that we have now begun a journey of transformation and hope. I have taken him to a rehabilitation centre for addiction treatment, where he will begin his recovery process.”
Mosiria also said that addiction does not define a person’s future, “Addiction is not the end of someone’s story. With timely intervention, professional treatment, family support, and God’s grace, recovery is possible.“
He also thanked to those who raised the alarm, “I also thank everyone who reached out and alerted me about his condition. Together, we can restore hope and transform lives, one person at a time.”
