WYRE IS MY COUSIN SAYS MUTHONI DRUMMER QUEEN

Kenyan rapper and percussionist Muthoni Ndonga also known as Muthoni Drummer Queen is related to dancehall artiste Wyre.

Speaking to Cleaning The Airwaves (CTA) about her journey in the music and entertainment business, the founder of Africa Nouveau and Blankets & Wine said they are cousins, “My cousin on my father’s side is Wyre.”

Muthoni recalled at time in high school when she went for drama festivals and girls in her school were crazy about the musician, “When I was in form one at Moi Girls, Wyre was in form four at Dagoretti High, when the form threes who were crazy for my cousin found out were cousins! coz they just through I’m a useless form 1.

Then we went for drama fest and I saw my cousin and he is like yoooo and told them that’s my cousin, bro I had cred, I stopped being that form 1, in Moi Girls a form could send you like go fetch me water, niliokoka vitu kama hizo. Shout out to Wyre, ulinisaidia sana.”
