Comedian Ben Maurice Onyango popularly known as Othuol Othuol has passed away.

Othuol died on Sunday, October 11 at the Kenyatta National Hospital where he has been receiving treatment.

Churchill Show founder Daniel Ndambuki confirmed the death on his Facebook page, “So sad. Ben Maurice popularly know as Othuol Othuol has gone to be with the Lord after a long struggle with Brain Tumor. May he Rest in Peace.”

Fellow comedians took to social media and sent their condolence messages, “God above everything rest in peace. Show stopper.Heaven needed a laugh and God choose you today! Othuol Othuol,” posted Jalang’o.

July 6, the comedian was discharged from the Kenyatta National Hospital after he showed meaningful improvements on his health condition that did not require him nursing under a hospital infrastructure but he was not out of danger.

He was however required to be attending hospital sessions after every three days for the next three months at KNH while nursing from home.  “Othuol Othuol’s hospital bills have been taken care of by the artists fraternity, and still we call for more contributions from them and well wishers as he is still not out of the woods yet, he depleted his savings due to his illnesses bouts and various hospital visits previously,” said Ken Waudo the chair of Comedians In Kenya Society.

The first MRI scan for the comedian indicate he has an abnormal infection in the brain.
