AFTER THE GAS ACCIDENT MY LATE HUSBAND KNEW HE WAS NOT COMING BACK HOME AND SAID GOODBYE-RUTH MATETE

Tusker Project Fame winner Ruth Matete has narrated her husband’s last moments before he died. According to the musician, her late husband Beloved John Apewajoye knew he was not coming back home, “While we were going to the hospital in an ambulance, my husband just told me he was not coming back. He also said he was not going to make it and told me I should put things in order and what to tell the baby when I give birth, his sister and the brother.

At that point, I thought he was in a panic, but I can tell you for a fact that he gave up right there. In my grieving process, I took time to forgive him, I just thought he would have fought. I felt like he didn’t fight for me but now I understand it was God’s timing.

I remember when I would go to the hospital to see him, I would ask him how he was doing, he would say, “I’m still breathing? I’m still alive?” I just feel like he didn’t want to fight or maybe he didn’t have the strength.”
