KIM KARDASHIAN JOINS KENYAN CELEBRITIES IN FUNDRAISING FOR LITTLE AYAH

By  |

American personality and businesswoman Kim Kardashian has joined Kenyan celebrities and the rest of the world in fundraising for the Kenyan girl, Ayah Lundt, who is hoping to receive the world’s most expensive drug which costs Sh230 million, for the treatment of a genetic disease.

Kim shared little Ayah’s GoFundMe page of her Insta Story and wrote, “This is Ayah (born on January 15, 2020), a bubbly little princess who likes to smile a lot. Ayah has a rare genetic and degenerative disorder called SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) type 2.

SMA
is a rare genetic disease that affects the central nervous system, voluntary skeletal muscle movement, and the peripheral nervous system (the connection between the central nervous system and the rest of the body). As a result, SMA affects basic motor functions such as walking, hand movements and feeding. After progression, the patients lose the ability to swallow, breathe and eventually die.” The post read in part.

Her GoFundMe, has so far over Sh149 million ($1,378,510). Ayah stays with her Danish father, Frank Lundt, and Kenyan mother Mary Mithika in Denmark.
