DStv UNVEILS CHOOSE JOY THIS CHRISTMAS CAMPAIGN

The festive season is upon us and MultiChoice Kenya is dishing out great tidings of entertainment with a wide selection of content for the whole family including special Festive line-ups, a pop-up channel, key sporting events and more. DStv officially unveiled the season of Joy with its campaign themed around the expression Choose Joy this Christmas.’

The festivities were unveiled at a glamorous launch event held at Sarit Centre on the evening of Thursday 11 November and headlined by Winfred Gathagu, Nairobi County Executive for Trade and Tourism. Through this campaign, DStv endeavors to capture the essence of the season and urge customers to find joy in every moment, revel in the festivities, and amp up their celebrations with great entertainment.

Speaking at the event, Winfred Gathagu, Nairobi County CEC for Trade and Tourism said, “MultiChoice Kenya is known its broad variety of entertainment. Over the years, the company has continued to bring to its customers and businesses around the county exciting content. MultiChoice Kenya has also ensured that is above board on matters compliance with the county by-laws, a true testament that the company is committed to the communities where it operates. Nairobi County we will continue to support MultiChoice Kenya to enhance the existing mutual partnership as we head into the festive season, and in the years to come.”

Great entertainment awaits with a content slate guaranteed to keep viewers of all tastes in a joyful mood – from movies aficionados, sport enthusiasts, kids, and lovers of drama and intrigue. “As Kenya’s leading entertainment provider, we have served up an enriching entertainment experience for our customers this festive season. We take our role in enriching lives through unmatched seriously and more so during this season when our customers are looking to connect to entertainment that speaks to their passions while spending time with their loved ones. DStv and GOtv will be dishing out great tidings of entertainment with a wide selection of content suitable for every member of the family,” said Philip Wahome, Corporate Affairs Manager.

While at the event, Winfred Gathagu also flagged off a truck load of Supa Entertainment that will deliver a bag full of toons, movies and great shows to five children’s homes across the country. The donation is part of GOtv’s strategy to offer its expanded content offering to more members of the communities where it operates, and this will ensure that these children will have a ‘Supa Krisi’ this festive season. The caravan will deliver a 40” smart TV, GOtv decoder with one year subscription on the Supa bouquet and foodstuffs including maize flour, wheat flour, cooking oil, sugar, salt, rice, sanitizers and soap to each of the five homes, with a total number of 1,200 children.

“The donation is an early Christmas gift to the children as a way of ensuring more people have access to the great entertainment on GOtv, particularly the new GOtv Supa package which is packed with wholesome shows for kids and great entertainment for the whole family. This year has been a tough year due to Covid-19 we want to ensure that these children will have a Supa Krisi.” said Philip Wahome, Corporate Affairs Manager.
