MUSICIAN KENDI RECALLS DAD’S PAINFUL DEATH AND HER TIME IN PRISON

By  |

Musician Kendi has narrated how she was falsely accused and locked up in prison. In a lengthy social media post, the musician said she was locked up the same day her dad was going through a critical medical care. “So you all know how much I’ve gone through last year and this year, my dad’s cancer took a toll on me and my family then on top of that I was accused falsely (one case is done but I still have one more on going in court. I will talk about it another day) and went to prison not cell, prison it was only for 24 hours but very long 24 hours it’s not good in there while I was there that was the day my dad’s chemo was being changed and you know how it can eat you up when you don’t know how it went,” she wrote in part.

Adding, “So I was going mental. I cried too much until the wardens were worried and thought I would do something to myself. And of course it turned out I was not worried for nothing that chemo was the worst thing that happened to us because it completely destroyed my dad’s cells. It ate him up and reduced him to nothing and the cancer spread more quickly after that and we lost him.”

Kendi emphasised on the need to focus on the important things when going through a hard time and promised to shed more light on the matter soon. “Just know when you are going through something so traumatic you need something to hang on to. I chose God, family and music. ( I will do a live once it’s all through and tell you all about it). Anyways praying and going back in the studio to work on my first album has helped me a great deal with all this. I did lock myself up in the house for a month and I cried a lot and I was kinda mean within that month just after the funeral but I got up and got back at it,” she added.
