‘WE’RE ABOUT TO HANG UP THE BOOTS’ JALANG’O HINTS AT QUITTING RADIO

Media personality Phelix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o has hinted at leaving radio to concentrate on campaigns ahead of the August 9 General Elections. 

In an update on his social media pages, the radio presenter stated that he is about to hang his boots and pass it over to the next. “Jalang’o drops the mic. Stage, radio and TV coming to an end. We’re about to hang up the boots and take on a new challenge. But we can’t just drop the mic down. I need to pass it to the next Jalang’o,” the radio presenter wrote. 

Speaking in a previous episode on his YouTube series Bonga Na Jalas , Jalang’o said he will be tendering in his resignation letter on February 9, 2022. He explained that he will be forced to leave the station as dictated by the Kenyan electoral laws which demand one to resign from their official jobs as they join politics. 

Jalang’o noted that he will resume campaigns immediately after leaving Kiss 100 in a bid to secure the Langata Parliamentary seat in the upcoming General Election. ”Get ready to replace me when I leave Kiss. I will be leaving on Wednesday, February 9, 2022.” Jalang’o told MCA Tricky
