MR SEED PENS EMOTIONAL LETTER TO BAHATI

By  |

Kenyan musician Moses Omondi, alias Mr Seed has penned a touching note to fellow artist Kevin Bahati, proclaiming his support in his quest for Mathare parliamentary seat in the oncoming General Elections slated for August 2022.

In an emotional post on Instagram, the Starborn Empire CEO recalled how they grew up in Huruma, Mathare, but managed to work hard and become celebrated musicians despite the challenges they experienced as children. “I will not talk about our growth because No one doesn’t know about our struggles growing up. We experienced what poverty tasted like. We ate and drank poverty but what kept us going was a little hope that one day we will make it,” read part of his post.

Mr Seed then professed his love for their Huruma home while painting Bahati as a lifelike picture of ‘determination yields success’ because his vision of becoming successful was never impeded by external factors such as poverty. “Nilizaliwa Huruma” isn’t just a line to a song to make a good hook but a testament to how we loved our home Huruma in Mathare. It was all we had, a place to call home. I remember us sleeping down (literally). You shared with me your vision for the people and how when you get blessed, you will like to bless others.” He wrote.

Further, he urged Mathare residents to vote for Bahati as he is not the typical leader but full of ambitions for his people. “You are not a politician but a leader. I pray the people of Mathare to get to know how pure your intentions for them are. I support you, my brother.” He added. Upon reading Mr Seed’s message, Bahati thanked him for the support, “I appreciate and love you, my brother. Thank you for this. It’s time to make all those dreams that seemed impossible to our society come true.”
