VIHOJA MAHAKAMANI PROSECUTOR GIBSON GATHU SEEKS SH6 MILLION FINANCIAL HELP FOR URGENT KIDNEY TRANSPLANT

By  |

Veteran actor Gibson Gathu Mbugua, known for his role as the prosecutor on Vihoja Mahakamani is seeking financial assistance from Kenyans to raise Sh6 million to cater for the transplant and post-surgery care.

Gathu held his fundraiser at Charter Hall on Muindi Mbingu Street on June 10 ahead of his scheduled kidney transplant at Mediheal Hospital in Eldoret.

Dialysis is expensive. Your insurance cover gets exhausted and you start spending off your pocket. Every day you visit, the dialysis is from Sh10,000 and you have to go three times a week. The cost of surgery is not that expensive. What is expensive is the post-surgery care because anti-rejection drugs are very expensive, and there is no use having a transplant while I can’t get the drugs, which I’ll use for the rest of my life. That’s why we need Sh6 million for the post-care.” Said Gathu.

Events organiser Chris Kirwa took his social media account and asked his fans to help the actor, “He has not been well for sometimes now – He needs a Kidney Transplant. Let’s stand with Gibson Gathu Mbugua – “Prosecutor “ of Vihoja Mahakamani. To assist him, send your contribution to: Paybill: 247247 Account:777626.

He also share another appreciation post from Gibson for the overwhelming support, “I have not slept entire night I have been getting support from across the Country and even from diaspora USA.”
