DENNIS OMBACHI NAMED SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA TOP TIKTOK CREATOR

TikTok honoured Africa’s content creators who have continuously shared their talents, knowledge and humour in entertaining millions of users on the platform. The company unveiled the first creators to win Top Creator 2022 Awards in Sub-Saharan Africa at an event at the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi.

African TikTok creators are amongst the first to be crowned Top Creator and Top Creator Runner Up for TikTok’s inaugural Top Creator Awards– an award ceremony that recognises and awards content creators across Africa for their immense talent and creativity they brought to the platform in the past year.

Content creator Dennis Ombachi popularly known as The Roaming Chef was named TikTok’s Top Creator in Sub-Saharan Africa. He dedicated his award to his family, “Coming from sports I have won a couple of medals but there is a different meaning that this one has. I would like to dedicate this award to my two lovely kids and my wife who actually motivates me to post content consistently. She is the one who told me to join TikTok. Thanks to those who voted for me and the panel of judges, this shows TikTok is a platform for everyone, the love on the TikTok is real and unbiased.”
