‘HE WAS EVERYONE’S DARLING’ ROBERT BURALE REFLECTS ON JOWIE’S MURDER CASE

By  |

Renowned pastor Robert Burale recently shared reflections on the murder charge of Joseph Irungu, alias Jowie. Burale offered insights into the shifting tides of fame and friendships, “This is Jowie now I don’t want to discuss the case. I am not an expert in legal matters but allow me to pick a lesson or two,” said Burale.

He recounts Jowie’s initial release pending trial, a period marked by multiple media interviews. However, as the trial progressed and the verdict was delivered, everything changed dramatically and none of his friends were there for him. “When he was first released pending trial he became an instant celebrity… Other “celebrities” *(useless career) were flocking to take photos with him. Most Podcasters interviewed him. He was everyone’s darling.

When he was found guilty there were very few people around him. We saw painful tears from his sister. No more Podcasts. No selfies with so called celebrities. On the day of his sentence his mother(‘or close relative)stood by him ..the photo below she is looking at the officer as if to say”don’t let the handcuffs hurt my son ” “Life is fickle.”

Burale extended heartfelt prayers to Monica’s grieving family, “I pray that Monica’s family will find God’s peace as they remember their loved one .I also pray and hope they have friends who are still standing with them even after the media blitz has died down. Reduce the number of chairs around your dinner table.”
