STELLA MWANGI’S SONG FEATURED ON THE EQUALIZER SERIES

Kenyan-Norwegian artist, Stella Mwangi, recently received a remarkable honour as her song was featured on the hit television series The Equalizer, starring Queen Latifah.

In a post, Mwangi expressed gratitude, stating, “If someone had told me back in 1997, when I had Unity memorised, that in 2024, @QueenLatifah would be running to my song on TV, I would have said ‘Yeah riiight’ OMG! I’m honoured! Big @kingkairomusic for beat and @positionmusic for sync #TheEqualizer”

The Hollywood series follows the story of Robyn McCall, an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background, who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” — an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption.
