Influencer Ivy Namulindwa has confirmed the end of her relationship with media personality Willis Raburu, releasing a brief statement asking the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time.

In a short statement, Namu said: “Willis Raburu and I have decided to go our separate ways. Kindly respect our privacy at this moment.” No further details regarding the reasons for the separation have been provided.

The couple’s relationship has been closely followed by the public since they began dating in 2020. They first met in November 2019 when she appeared on Raburu’s 10 over 10 show on Citizen TV, where she was invited to perform.

They welcomed their first child, a son named Mali, in July 2021. Raburu proposed to Namu during their son’s first birthday celebration in July 2022, a moment that was shared widely on social media. At the time, Namu was already expecting their second child.

The couple welcomed a daughter, Yara, in September 2022. Together, they have two children, a boy and a girl.

Despite their split, Namu had previously spoken highly of Raburu’s role as a father and partner. In earlier interviews, she praised his hands-on approach to parenting, recounting how he skilfully changed their son’s first diapers and taught her how to do it. She also credited him for creating a supportive environment that allowed her to prioritise raising their children. “He’s such a good man, father, and husband… I wish that for every woman,” Namu had previously expressed.

Before his relationship with Namu, Raburu was married to Marya Prude. They divorced in 2020 following the tragic loss of their unborn daughter, Adana, in January 2020. Raburu later disclosed in an interview that he initiated the divorce process, noting, “Nobody goes into a marriage with hopes to come out“.
