‘Biggest Mistake I Ever Made” Actor Trisha Khalid on Dating Married Ex-Partner

Kenyan actress Trisha Khalid is getting candid about a past relationship she now describes as her biggest regret, one that came with a metallic grey Mercedes and a hard-learned lesson about self-worth.

During a recent TikTok Live session, Khalid addressed questions about her first car, a gift from a married ex-partner she was dating at the time. Without shying away from the scrutiny, she owned her past.

“I got my first car in 2021 from the married guy I was dating,” Khalid revealed. “Please don’t judge me, we all go through stuff, we all make mistakes and that’s the biggest mistake I ever made. I was young and naive, probably wanting the best life which I did not get at the end of the day.“

The actress, known for her roles in popular Kenyan productions, did not stop at the confession. “When they give you cars, make sure it’s under your name,” she cautioned. Khalid went on to describe how the relationship ultimately ended, and how she chose to return the luxury vehicle before it could become a source of conflict or manipulation.

“My first car was a Mercedes metallic grey and after our break up I personally took it to him,” she said. “One thing about me I don’t like shame. When I knew it was not working I asked the nephew to come and pick the car.”

She explained that returning the car was an act of self-preservation. “At the end of the day I knew he might start blackmailing me. I returned it before he asked for it. There was so much pride in doing that.” For Khalid, the decision to hand back the keys was not about defeat but dignity.
