Political activist Morara Kebaso has issued a public apology to his wife following a period of personal reflection, acknowledging that moments of frustration and disappointment lead to his online rant.

In a statement released to the public, Kebaso shared regret over his recent conduct and the threat to release private “receipts” amid a period of conflict. “In a moment of disappointment and frustration, we do things that have far-reaching consequences. We may be cheered and celebrated today for the stupid things we do because they are entertaining to strangers; but when the dust settles we are left on the high road,” read the statement.

Kebaso said he his commitment to his marriage, stating, “A strong marriage is built on secrecy. Business hates conflict and money hates noise. If we want to succeed we must lower the volume.”

Kebaso revealed that he had been holding himself accountable. He admitted that he had accumulated evidence regarding various matters and had at one point hoped for continued conflict to expose the full story, but ultimately chose a path of accountability.

I am a leader. I will never be too proud not to say sorry. I am expected to live up to the high standards of my calling. Surely as the Lord is seated on the throne, His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Peace be silent. Peace be silent,” he stated.
