Kenyan-born comedian and internet sensation Elsa Majimbo has issued an emotional response to strangers who have labelled her a drug user, stating that she has never used drugs in her life.

In a post on X, Majimbo addressed the accusations, “I’ve had strangers calling me a junkie when I have never done drugs in my life. Not once,” she wrote. “Dressing how I want and doing what I want doesn’t make me mentally unwell.“

Adding, “It’s such a shame because so many young minds look up to me. Drugs are not cool. Stay in school. Be kind. Love Elsa,” she added. The statement comes amid ongoing public scrutiny of the 25-year-old’s lifestyle and appearance, which she has frequently addressed.

Majimbo rose to global fame in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, earning international recognition and collaborations with major brands before relocating to the United States.

In a separate post, Majimbo reflected on the nature of true beauty, pushing back against a culture obsessed with appearance. “Everybody always tells me how beautiful I am. Although I agree, I think true beauty is inside. It’s character, how you treat people, your integrity,” she wrote. “In order to be truly beautiful you must do the work surgery can’t buy and no aesthetic can replace.”
