Samsung Electronics East Africa has expanded its Galaxy A Series portfolio in Kenya with the introduction of the new Galaxy A18 LTE and Galaxy A08 LTE, bringing together enhanced performance, versatile cameras, long-lasting battery life, intelligent features and dependable security at accessible price points.

Designed for consumers looking for reliable smartphones that can keep pace with everyday digital lifestyles, both devices combine Samsung’s latest innovations with long-term software support and practical features that support entertainment, productivity, content creation and staying connected.

The Galaxy A18 LTE is designed for users who want a more capable smartphone experience, combining performance, display quality, camera versatility and Samsung’s latest AI-powered features. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling and a more immersive viewing experience for social media, streaming and everyday content. Powered by the Exynos 1610/G99+ platform and enhanced LPDDR5x memory options,  the Galaxy A18 LTE is built to support seamless everyday activities, including multitasking, entertainment and mobile gaming.

For photography and content creation, the device features a 50MP autofocus main camera supported by a 5MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP sensor. The ultra-wide camera allows users to capture broader scenes, landscapes and group shots, giving them greater flexibility when creating and sharing content.

The Galaxy A18 LTE also brings a 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging, while an IP64 rating provides protection against dust and water splashes. The device is built with a reinforced body and new GFRP material for greater everyday durability.

Samsung is also extending the lifecycle of the Galaxy A18 LTE with six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security maintenance releases. The device further benefits from Samsung Knox Vault, providing hardware-level protection for sensitive information such as passwords and biometric data. The Galaxy A18 LTE also brings intuitive AI experiences designed to make everyday interactions with a smartphone simpler. With Circle to Search 3.0, users can search for information directly from what appears on their screen, including images, products, music and other content. The feature can also provide useful action options for information such as phone numbers, addresses, email addresses and URLs.

The devices also supports multiple AI agents, including Gemini and Perplexity, enabling users to interact with AI across Galaxy-native and third-party applications through voice commands or a long press. Together with RAM Plus and access to the wider Galaxy ecosystem, including Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Tab, SmartThings, Samsung Health, Quick Share and Modes & Routines, the Galaxy A18 LTE provides users with a more connected Galaxy experience.

Joining the portfolio is the Galaxy A08 LTE, designed to deliver dependable performance, long-lasting battery life and practical AI experiences for consumers who want more from their everyday smartphone. The device features a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, offering a smooth viewing experience for social media, video streaming and everyday entertainment. Powered by the Helio G99+ platform and enhanced LPDDR5x memory,  the Galaxy A08 LTE is built to provide steady performance across everyday activities, including media consumption and gaming.

One of the device’s standout features is its 6,000mAh battery, supported by 25W fast charging. This gives users the flexibility to spend more time streaming, browsing, communicating and enjoying their favourite content without constantly reaching for a charger. The Galaxy A08 LTE also features a 50MP autofocus main camera paired with a 2MP rear sensor, alongside an 8MP front-facing camera for everyday photography and video calls.
