MP Peter Salasya Unveils His Village Mansion

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has given the public a glimpse into his nearly completed rural mansion, sharing photos of the impressive structure currently undergoing final painting works. 

The lawmaker took the opportunity to share a message about legacy. In a social media post accompanying the photos, Salasya wrote, “Hii ndio mentality ya watu wa kujijua na kujiheshimu. A village home is legacy, sio competition ya impressing watu wa online. Many people can rent fancy apartments in town, but not everyone can go back home and point at something they built for family and future generations.“

The expansive home, located in his rural home constituency, stands as a testament to the MP’s commitment to investing in his roots. “Na ukweli ni kwamba wengi wetu wa Mumias East na waluhya generally tunapenda nyumbani. Building kwa village haimaanishi uko nyuma, inamaanishi uko grounded na unajua roots zako. Nairobi ni hustle place, but home is home,” he added.

The first-term MP, known for his outspoken and relatable style added,“Kulala bedsitter Nairobi but village iko smart is actually a flex. Kisumundogo deserves that pride kabisa. Wenye roho mbaya waendelee kuongea tu.” Salasya said.
