Gospel Singer Loise Kim Breaks Down in Emotional Post as Son Receives Treatment in India

Gospel singer Loise Kim has opened up about one of the most challenging seasons of her life, sharing an emotional Facebook post as her son continues receiving medical care at a hospital in India.

The singer reflected on how watching someone dear suffer can feel even heavier than being sick oneself. “When you have someone dear to you who is sick, today, tomorrow and the next day, that’s when you truly understand that life is precious,” she wrote. “You realise that no amount of money, success, or material things can replace good health. You become sicker than the victim. All you want is to see the person you love well again. It humbles you, strengthens your faith, and teaches you to appreciate every moment.”

The musician went on to share the support she has received, noting that the family is seeing progress. “Thank you so much for your prayers, love, and support. We are truly grateful to God for the progress we are seeing,” she said.

She also shared details about her son’s daily care, explaining that a doctor visits their apartment every morning for physiotherapy. “The doctor comes every morning to the apartment for physiotherapy, and I must say, the treatment here is taken very seriously. We are trusting God for complete healing and a full recovery. Thank you for standing with us through this journey.”

The singer’s post also carried a message of faith. “We may face many other battles, but not those involving our children. This pain is too much; this is not how we were meant to end up,” she wrote, before quoting Scripture: “David said, ‘I have been young, and now am old; Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children.‘”

Kim concluded with a declaration of trust in God, writing in her native Kikuyu: “Nogwetereire Ngai wakwa, niguo nii na ciana ciakwa tukinÿanire”.
